Founded in 1989, the Danville Public School Foundation through its donations, grant awards and investments provide enhanced educational opportunities for the students attending Danville Public Schools. The Danville Public School Foundation is a IRS 501(c)(3) organization. The Foundation was formed by a group of caring community volunteers. The Foundation board meets every other month (beginning in July) to review grant proposals, monitor existing programs, and manage its investments. The Danville Public School Foundation was created to be a long-term organization to serve the educational needs of the students attending Danville public schools. The interest and dividends earned on investments, along with annual donations, grants and bequests help to ensure that the Foundation can continue its mission.
