Today it remains the oldest state licensed ambulance service in Alabama. Mr. Pilcher is considered a pioneer in the development of emergency medical services in Alabama and the southeastern United States. Striving to keep up with the growth, the company moved to several locations before settling in its present location. Starting with 3 ambulances and just enough personnel to staff them, Pilcher's began to grow. We now operate 15 ambulances 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
