HYBENX Desiccation Shock Debridement Technology ("DSD") is a breakthrough treatment for infected tissue surfaces. Products containing our patented HYBENX technology are cleared as Class I medical devices in the European Union and Canada. The US FDA has also reviewed HYBENX Root Canal Cleanser and found it substantially equivalent on K123538. The Company currently has products for sale throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as Canada and Australia through contracted distributor relationships. EPIEN also manufactures the pre-amendment drug Debacterol, which is marketed to dentists in the United States as a unique treatment for Aphthous ulcers (canker sores). EPIEN's research and development activity is focused on expanding applications for these and similar products to treat a variety of topical skin infections ranging from ailments such as athlete's foot to more severe conditions such as periodontal diseases and chronic non-healing wounds.
