The Engineering Technician will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. The Data Center Engineering Technician will be responsible for ensuring the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center. This equipment supports mission-critical servers and must maintain better than 99.999% uptime. The Data Center Engineering Technician will continue to maintain high reliability and performance while keeping operating costs in facilities at a minimum. **Responsibilities** **:** + Work with Operations/Process/Project Management Teams in development of Capex Projects through Scope, Estimations, Specifications, Control Narratives & Conceptual Design. + Contributes as subject area resource in a variety of mechanical engineering areas providing support for systems design, engineering reviews, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement. + Reviews and approves work of outside engineering consultants including flow diagrams, general arrangement drawings, specifications, RFQs, bid evaluations, vendor drawings, as-built drawings and manuals. + Prepare basic design drawings, specifications, and operating instructions. + Meet Carmeuse expectations with a focus on safety, environmental compliance, equipment reliability, and value engineering. + Direct and coordinate any internal and external resources under his/her control. + Assist with troubleshooting and performance enhancements of mechanical systems and recommend cost effective solutions
