Gateway Acceptance Company was founded by Vern Curtis in 1978. The company continues to be owned and operated by Vern's children. Vern had worked in the banking industry for many years and established asset based lending divisions for a number of banks on the west coast. As time passed by, the bank was approving fewer and fewer of his deals. Understanding the impact asset based lending has on the long-term success of small businesses, it became difficult for him to provide this banking service to the market. Mr. Curtis decided to leave banking and open Gateway Acceptance Company. This gave him the opportunity to identify and approve the companies with whom he wanted to provide his services. He was confident in the potential success of his product and wanted to help small business owners succeed in their business ventures. This same philosophy continues today. Our account managers and staff take the time to understand your business, effectively answer your questions and assist with cash flow throughout your business cycle.
