Job Description TITLE: Mechanical Assembler Comp: Up to $27/hr plus overtime Location: Indianapolis, IN Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a Mechanical Assembler direct hire position in Indianapolis, IN RESPONSIBILITIES: Assemble shot blasting equipment, reclaimers, dust collectors, and miscellaneous sub-assemblies as required utilizing written procedures, blueprints, and basic hand/power tools. Inspect and test finished products and sub-assemblies. Report all material shortages and documentation errors to the supervisor. Maintain a safe and organized workstation. Responsible for assembling a variety of finished products utilizing written process procedures, blueprints, schematics, and job experience. Some degree of independent work is required at times. The unit will be brought to the assembler on wheels, and will perform the following tasks: Perform detailed assembly of in-process units. Handle electrical wiring, brazing, air compressor installation, silicone sealing, and foaming. Follow diagrams to install wire harnesses and connect wires. Use mallet, hand tools, rivet gun, and other power tools to install compressors. Connect units to machines for foaming to ensure proper insulation.
