The Hemophilia Outreach Center is committed to providing patients with all of the tools needed to manage their bleeding disorder, independently. Our goal is to help patients understand their formal diagnosis and the importance of treatment. We aim to empower each individual to become their own best advocate. We believe it is imperative that each patient is able to communicate information specific to their bleeding disorder and treatments to other medical providers, insurance companies, etc. If at-home infusions (giving clotting factor medication through an IV) are necessary, the Hemophilia Outreach Center offers multiple educational opportunities to train the patient and their caregivers. As a result of education and training, patients are able to be more independent in their care.
