What we need from you: The Title Examiner ensures a thorough examination of a property's chain of title while adhering to company and underwriting guidelines thereby eliminating risk and preventing loss when issuing title commitments. This position can be based out of our offices in Durango, Montrose or Grand Junction. This is an in-office position, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Responsibilities: Prioritize workload daily by due dates and internal/external customer requests. Examine chain of title to underwriting stopping point; including determining requirements and exceptions for issuing title commitment. Identify problems and develop requirements for corrective action. Proof completed commitment and/or policy for content and accuracy. Deliver commitment and/or policy to necessary parties by appropriate method of delivery based on required timeliness and customer preference.
