JD Hall began his career in the moving industry as a Moving Consultant with Hills United Van Service Gainesville in 1984. In 1990, JD left Hills United to begin a career in law enforcement with the Alachua County Sheriffs Office as a Deputy Sheriff. Family ties proved too deep when his father in law, Mike Hill, asked him to return and assist with the Mayflower side of the business in 1992. He and his wife Mary Hill-Hall purchased the Mayflower agency in 1997, which became Hills Van Service of Marion Co. In 1998, JD and Mary moved the business to the original building founded by her grandfather in 1951. JD and Mary are proud to be a member of the Mayflower Transit family and look forward to letting their family assist your family with all of your moving and storage needs. Mary Hall was born in Ocala and raised in Gainesville and Micanopy. Mary grew up in the moving business; her grandfather started Hills Van Service in 1951. Her father, Mike Hill, opened Hills in Gainesville in 1964. (Before child labor laws were enforced) She started as a packer in middle school and worked her way up to clerical, sales, and then management. She is currently Vice President. To diversify all aspects of moving and storage, Mary & JD added Record Storage to Hills Van Services portfolio in 1998. In 2005, they completed the addition of Go Mini Portable Storage units to enhance the ever-growing popularity of the do-it-yourself move. Brenda has been with Hills Van Service since October 1997. She serves as their Controller, as well as corporate Secretary/Treasurer. Brenda received her AS degree from Colorado Technical University. Brenda heads up Accounting, Human Resources, IT and Claims.
