Overview: The Advisory Dean Program ("ADP" or "Program") Of New York Medical College (NYMC), School of Medicine (SOM) is established as an integral component of student life in providing longitudinal career advisement, coaching, mentoring, teaching related to career development, and reinforcement of the importance of student mental health and wellness. In partnership with trained Advisory Deans ("AD"), the Program is managed by the Advisory Dean Program Director who reports to the Dean of Students within the Office of Student Affairs. ADs report directly to the Advisory Dean Program Director. All students enrolled in the NYMC SOM M.D. Degree Program are assigned an AD. ADs engage in the provision of the components of the Program for ~ 20 students per class for a total of ~ 80 students.
