Job Description Job Description Reporting to the Iron Shop Foreman, this position will learn the overall job functions of the Iron Shop in a controlled environment. Iron shop personnel are responsible for servicing and recertifying oil and gas production and flowback equipment in house. Essential Duties: Review and follow all operating procedures in a safe manner. Disassemble and provide maintenance of various types of production testing valves. Learn the recertification band color code. Gain a general knowledge of the rebuild and pressure test areas. Learn hands on mechanical functions, grinding, cleaning, minor repairs. Learn the identifying characteristics of all types of high-pressure parts (i.e., pressure rating, size, manufacture, union type, serial number, asset number) Learn the differences between all levels of inspection/ recertification (visual, LEVEL 1, LEVEL2) Communicate with other Iron Shop team members, reporting any issues.
