LifeVentures (formerly known as East Wichita Shepherd's Center) was founded in 1989 by a coalition of six churches on the eastern side of Wichita, and the first Adventures in Learning program was offered in September 1990. Since that time, LifeVentures has two sessions of Adventures in Learning per year. Enrollment is approximately 140 people. LifeVentures offers a variety of learning opportunities and social activities throughout the year. It truly is "your place to keep knowing & growing. LifeVentures is a member of Shepherd's Centers of America, founded in Kansas City, Missouri by Dr. Elbert Cole in 1972. There are over 50 Shepherd's Centers in 21 states. Six are in Kansas.
