Lyndon Steel Company (LSC) was established in Wallburg, North Carolina in 1977 by Lyn Freeman and Don Atkins (hence the name Lyndon) with a workforce of six employees and specialized in miscellaneous fabrication. In 1982, LSC relocated to its present location on Union Cross Road to a 4,000 sq. ft. facility. In 1987 the shop doubled in size and fabrication slowly shifted away from miscellaneous toward structural steel. In 1991, LSC expanded the office space and started to detail drawings in house. Lyndon Steel Company continued its steady growth and in 1994 began an era of rapid expansion, which presently includes three fabrication shops. Today LSC has approximately 200 employees and is one of the largest structural steel fabricators in North Carolina (50,000 tons annual Capacity). Our senior management team has a combined 180 plus years in the steel industry. We are here to ensure the customer has the best possible experience before, during and after the completion of the project.
