You will receive each task via a paging system, instructing you what the task is and where the pick up and drop off points are. Tasks will include: admissions, discharges, transfers, equipment runs, lab runs, and transports to the morgue. Constantly pushing, pulling, and walking. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Greet patients check demographics and insurance information. Complete patient registration and discharge activities utilizing EPIC. Generate necessary paperwork, and notify staff of patient arrival. Check out patients and make future appointments for patients. Obtain medical records and reports as needed for providers and/or other staff. Review need for referrals, authorizations, and obtains information as needed. Initiates any insurance carrier regulatory needs, such as ABNs or waivers of liability and forward to appropriate staff for completion.
