Unit Description: As a nurse in Endoscopy at the Central Vermont Medical Center you would be working in all phases of care including hands on assisting in 2-3 procedure rooms. In addition to endoscopies you would be assisting with in room sedation, bronchoscopies, transesophageal echoes, paracentesis and capsule endoscopies. You would provide compassionate care and assist the patient from pre-procedure through to discharge from recovery. Unit Description: The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UVMMC is a 20 bed level III , 9 bed level II Transition Unit providing care to the most critical infants born within our Network. NICU orientation is thorough and mentorship is well supported as work in the NICU emphasizes a collaborative, collegial team approach. After 2 years, NICU RNs will train to become part of a Health Net Transfer Team responsible for the transport of infants throughout all of VT and upstate NY requiring NICU care. Unit Description: Greater than one year of experience as an RN is required. Previous experience in Radiology is preferred. The schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday, 8am-5:30pm. The Radiology RNs complete specialized nursing duties such as administering IV sedation or analgesia during special procedures, monitoring vital signs including ECG rhythms, closely monitoring patients with cardiac/pulse oximeters i.e., and pacemaker monitoring during MRI scans. Radiology nurses will be required to care for patients receiving nuclear medicine treatment, care and management of labs, medications, and pre and post intervention phone calls. Radiology modalities call on nurses to care for patients transported from inpatient settings, patients in emergency situations, pediatric patients and others needing sedation with assistance of the anesthesiologist.
