Under the general direction of the Process Engineer Supervisor, the Process Engineer develops and optimizes methods to maintain process control and achieve significant improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost. The Process Engineer will also assist the site Metallurgist. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Define process controls and drive best-in-class performance in quality and first-time yield. Identifies, analyzes, and delivers on process improvement to eliminate casting and post casting defects. Six Sigma and Lean tools to aid in this effort. Supports production to ensure attainment of business goals, including addressing quality issues, working directly with manufacturing personnel to ensure a smooth-running operation. Analyzes product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods. Ensures manufacturing compliance with work procedures and instruction

The Manufacturing team provides value add by: Ensuring compliance with production plans and production line outputs and keeping production assigned overall efficient. Adhering or ensuring adherence to relevant internal work instructions, safety rules and applicable regulations (e.g., EHS). Planning or contributing to unit's budget, allocating resources and keeping manufacturing cost as planned. Executing, supervising or managing manufacturing front-end processes a assigned, according to specified procedures, e.g.: * Preparation of wafers, components or semi-products and monitors related hand-stock. * Processing components or semi-products/products according to specifications and quality standards. * Performing basic machine-related setup and/or CNC / SPS-programming, if required.
