Stephanie Boese is the new Medical/Surgical Director at Mercy Fort Smith but she is definitely not new to Mercy! She has practiced nursing within our walls since 2005 when she began as a contracted dialysis RN. She became a fulltime coworker in 2013 as the Manager of 3400 and Dialysis. She is currently enrolled in the MHA program at UAFS and is a Certified Nephrology RN. We are so thankful to have her leadership and expertise. I have worked with so many wonderful nurses and CNAs during my career at Mercy. The incredible teamwork between the doctors and the nursing staff allows us to truly carry out our mission on a daily basis. I feel proud and blessed to be involved with such wonderful people and serve our community. Cheri has been a nurse for 25 years and has received several awards and recognitions from both her peers as well as patients for whom she provided care. Prior to joining the Fort Smith team she was Vice President of Surgical Services for Duke LifePoint at Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC. As Chief Nursing Officer she brings her extensive experience in Surgical, ICU, and Critical Care nursing to Mercy Fort Smith. She is a very relationship oriented, compassionate, transformational leader who deeply enjoys team building with focus on the dignity and gifts of each individual person. Mercy Fort Smith nursing is comprised of talented, dedicated individuals who partner with the entire healthcare team here to provide excellent care for our community.
