Job Summary: The Mammographer Per Diem performs and produces/prepares evaluation documentation of diagnostic radiography and mammography. Assists in transporting patients to radiographic room as well as preparing and maintaining radiographic room and work area. Specifications: High School graduate, completion of AMA approved X-ray training school, and current registry with Radiography and Mammography through the American Registry for Radiologic Technologist (A.A.R.T.) required. Must have and maintain current licensure as a radiographer in the State of Rhode Island. Must be proficient in the English language. Overview: Summary: Works under the supervision of the Site Manager. Performs mammography and radiographic procedures on patients as ordered by a physician to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Understands and adheres to guidelines set forth in M.Q.S.A. Responsibilities: 1. Performs mammograms and diagnostic radiographic procedures. 2. Documents all examinations by performing related duties such as labeling films, documenting procedure related information on the requisition and completing exam history sheet. 3. Performs related duties such as reporting equipment malfunctions, cleaning work area, restocking supplies. 4.
