As a Resident Camp Counselor you will live with, care for and guide campers ages 7-14 throughout the camp week. Lead and actively participate in a wide variety of camp activities as well as work consistently in a Specialty Area. Work closely with the leadership team as well as campers to create a positive, engaging, safe, valuable and memorable camp experience for all. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Live with and supervise 10-14 campers per week. Build close relationships, be a positive role model, and facilitate physical and emotional safety ensuring them a pleasant camp experience. JOB SUMMARY As a Youth Program Instructor, you lead and teach programs filled with a variety of engaging activities to feed the mind, body and spirit of our Youth ages 5-13. Activities are designed to develop positive character traits and build relationships based on the Y's core values. Instructors may teach classes in content areas such as art, technology, crafts, cooking and more. You will achieve the primary areas of focus by: engaging participants in a variety of activities; chaperoning behavior and using the Core Values to correct undesired behaviors, engaging in the activities with the Youth, setting up and cleaning up activities, and fostering an atmosphere where youth make important connections with each other and you as an adult role model.
