NORTHERN NEVADA DENTAL SOCIETY is a Nevada non-profit 501(c)6 corporation and a chartered component society of the Nevada Dental Association and the American Dental Association. The Society's purpose includes to unite licensed and reputable dentists in Northern Nevada, to extend dental knowledge and advance dental science, to elevate the standard of dental education, to promote friendly association among dentist, to aid the dental profession by providing continuing education to become more capable and useful to our community and to promote harmonious relations with national, state and county medical associations and societies having similar objectives. The Society is organized for non-profit purposes, no part of its earnings may inure to the benefit of any private individual. We are proud to boast that our membership is currently over 300 active members including many active retirees. We are a strong society and our members know the value of organized dentistry and actively participate in many facets of this association. We host valuable continuing education on a monthly basis, we host events such as Spouses' / Guest Night dinner held at new and exciting venues each year, a formal or themed Christmas dinner dance, we participate in a year-round children's dental outreach program that began in the early 1980's entitled the Northern Nevada Dental Health Program, we participate in the ADA's National Give Kids a Smile program, we host Award nights to recognize pro-bono dentistry and lifetime achievement, a Mystery Bus Trip annually and an annual Open House Summer BBQ for our members, perspective members and their families each year.
