The Nourished Group was created primarily out of frustration. Having spent most of my life struggling with my weight, brain fog, fatigue and lack of motivation, it wasn't until my 30's that I realized that this was not normal, that going through life sleep-walking was not how I was supposed to feel. I began to educate myself by feverishly scouring the internet for information and just when I thought I finally understood and figured it out, I would read another article or study that would completely contradict my newly formed belief system. The Diet Industry, Big Food and Big Pharma are all pushing their own agenda and making it nearly impossible to be able to properly educate ourselves on what is right for our body. We are each unique in how our body processes and reacts to the food we eat and the environments we are in. We will have a completely different response than the person next to us. How then could one diet work for all of us? How can one pill relieve everyones symptoms? The answer is, they can't yet we are willing to pay endless amounts of money on pills, powders and potions hoping to find the answer. Our bodies are designed to heal themselves and yet we do just about everything we can destroying them in the name of "health". So in the name of health, I went back to school and became certified as a Health Coach. What is a Health Coach? Health coaches educate and support clients to achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behavior adjustments. It takes a year of training to become credentialed as a health coach. Health coaching focuses not only on the food you eat, but also your lifestyle.
