The Pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing prescriptions, compounding medications, directing other pharmacy employees, and dispensing medications. Additionally, the Pharmacist will provide counseling to nursing facility staff on medication use and general health topics. Responsibilities Review prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed. Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes, such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. Direct other pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and changes to prescription orders. Ensure the accuracy of prescription order intake and the efficient fulfillment of orders.
