Puget Sound Educational Service District is an Educational Service District (ESD) that develops and delivers a wide selection of services and instructional and administrative support to 35 school districts in King and Pierce counties plus Bainbridge Island. The agency is one of nine regional educational organizations that serve school districts and state-approved private schools in Washington. In addition to serving 35 public school districts we also provide services to 200 private schools. Approximately 430,000, or 40 percent, of the states K-12 public school students are represented in our service district area. Through cooperative and informational services to local school districts to assure equal educational opportunities for students, the Puget Sound ESD is committed to ensuring success for each child and eliminating the opportunity gap by leading with racial equity.
