The Project Engineer executes standard product contracts per engineering processing instructions. Responsibilities / Tasks Performs engineering work assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard industry engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using independent judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications to standard products. Works with equipment suppliers to size, select, specify, and purchase non-standard components to meet customer requirements, using company engineering standards and procedures. Provides necessary contract documentation for customer/shop requirements and subsequent follow-up assistance as required. Works with drafters to implement manufacturing and customer drawings and/or bills of materials. What you will do Provides structural analysis support on commercial, industrial and military HVAC products, primarily water and air-cooled chillers, including screw compressor and centrifugal compressor-based platforms. The position supports product development, warranty, sales and pressure vessel manufacturing. The individual conducts ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and other related design calculations and is typically a member of several product development teams. The individual has a good understanding of ASME and International Pressure Vessel Design standards.
