NATURE OF POSITION: The Custodian has primary responsibility for providing a clean and safe environment in which faculty and students may both teach and learn. This is accomplished through the direct application of cleaning practices to floor, window, and wall surfaces. The position is required to use cleaning equipment as well as snowblowers. The position utilizes chemical cleaning products on surfaces. The Custodian may assist in school kitchens, with delivery and storage of supplies, and with minor repairs. The position has responsibility for security of the building and maintenance of the building exterior and grounds. The Custodian reports to the Facility Manager and may receive instructions from the building administrator.
