Founded in 1994, SFYSA provides music instruction and performance opportunities in orchestra, mariachi, and jazz. Additionally, Elementary Strings, the 2010 recipient of the Piñon Award for Excellence in Education, provides stringed-instrument instruction in public and private elementary schools around the city with an instrument provided.
