Position Overview Two separate postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Richard Milner at San Diego Biomedical Research Institute (doing business as San Diego BioMed) in San Diego, California to work on two recently funded NIH projects. The overall focus of the lab is to study mechanisms of cerebrovascular remodeling and blood-brain barrier (BBB) integrity in two models of neurological disease, with a focus on extracellular matrix (ECM)-integrin-mediated signaling. The goal of the first project is to evaluate the therapeutic potential of hypoxia mimetics in the EAE model of multiple sclerosis (MS).
