This position will support the NWFSC commercial fisheries economics data collection (EDC) program. At the NWFSC, cost and earnings data are collected from a wide range of entities including catcher vessels, catcher processors, motherships, and shorebased processors. These data provide for detailed cost profiles of all of the groundfish fleets on the West Coast and help inform biennial harvest specification for groundfish, support analysis of Pacific Fishery Management Council actions, and other fisheries management and economics-related research.
