Job Description Job Description Under general supervision, the office registered nurse is the liaison to facilitate a close working relationship between physicians, hospitals we serve, patients and families. The office registered nurse facilitates safe, efficient, quality patient care by ensuring physician orders and requests are completed in an accurate and timely manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES): Assess, initiate care of symptomatic patients in-office or by phone, following facility protocol. Triage patient needs and questions via phone, in person and via web portal. Relay pertinent information to providers such as critical labs, symptomatic patients. Give results on labs, diagnostic testing. Explain procedural outcomes. Educate patients on disease processes, medications, symptoms, testing, procedures.
