Monitors and oversees the staff and activities associated with pre-registration, insurance verification, pre-certification/authorization, chart processing, DNV/HIPAA regulations and any other prerequisites required to ensure that the pre-registration process for a patient is a smooth and efficient process that also insures payment to the hospital for services rendered. Associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years healthcare admitting, billing, business office, or other equivalent related experience or High School Diploma with 4 years of healthcare admitting, billing, business office, or other equivalent related experience. An additional 1-2 years of successful leadership experience and 2-5 years of progressive experience in the admissions/pre-registration areas of a hospital is strongly preferred. Strong computer skills and knowledge including Word, Excel, Windows, PowerPoint and Access Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Excellent planning and organizational skills.
