General Summary: The role of the senior accountant is to oversee all financial transactions which occur in the accounting system and to analyze and verify their accuracy and ensure transactions are entered in a timely manner. This includes journal entries as well as day-to-day transactions occurring inside the company. The Senior Accountant is responsible for review and presentation of the financial Statements to the Director of Accounting. Essential Job Functions / Certifications: Create, verify, and post all month end journal entries with accompanying schedules and backup documentation. Reconcile all balance sheet accounts each month.
