We are offering a $1,000 sign on bonus! We at Family Services Association have an opportunity for a Full Time (35 hours per week) Buildings & Grounds Janitor for 3 of our Fall River locations. The hours are from Monday through Friday, 6:00AM - 2:00PM. Job Summary: The Building and Grounds Janitorial Worker is responsible for cleaning buildings and some general maintenance of all agency property including outlying sites and programs. The worker is accountable to the Facility Operations Supervisor. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform daily janitorial duties. Clean window blinds and dust window sills, clean glass partitions and doors, dust woodwork, fixtures, and furniture as needed and scrub surfaces. Sweep, vacuum and wash floors. Empty of wastebaskets including emptying shred bins and storing securely. Perform regular floor maintenance; steam-clean carpets use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces; apply wax to coat floors and buff; apply sealant to floors as needed.

Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned. Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments. Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident and recreational areas, etc., as instructed. Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures. Ensure that water marks are removed from fixtures. Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways. Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc. Clean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting. Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc. Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions. Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators. Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner. Clean vacant rooms
