HCE LLC was founded in 1934 by the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA) to provide quality service in patient account resolutions. The firm quickly established a reputation for providing quality service at reasonable fees. In 1998, GNYHA added an equity partner, McBee Associates, Inc. to increase the depth and expertise of the organization. In the following three years, HCE expanded its operations and client base by 50 percent. In 2001, HCE sold the traditional collection operations and reorganized its practice to concentrate exclusively on providing Medicaid eligibility services. In 2001, Martin O'Neill was named Executive Director of HCE and became an equity partner in the organization. Today Mr. O'Neill upholds the decades-old tradition of maintaining excellent results and providing high quality services to HCE clients. In 2004, GNYHA decided to divest itself from HCE and utilize their resources in pursuit of other initiatives. Mr. O'Neill and McBee Associates Inc. subsequently purchased GNYHA's equity share. The current ownership has been actively involved in the development and growth of HCE since 1998, and is dedicated to providing superior results and service to HCE clients.
