Established in 1960. Valley Energy proudly provides heating oil, propane, and commercial fuel products including all grades of gasoline and on or off road diesel. While our main office and storage facility are located in Purcellville, Virginia our services extend to the surrounding communities of Loudoun, Clarke, Fauquier and Prince William Counties. We also provide service to Berkeley County and Jefferson County in West Virginia. Valley Energy has roots in the petroleum business dating back four decades. Walter Murphy opened the doors to Capitol Fuel in the early 1960's. What began as a business of providing coal to homeowners in Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland, Capitol Fuel adapted with the changing times and refocused its efforts on the heating oil industry. Capitol Fuel continued to expand its operations and is now known as Valley Energy Company. It is owned and operated by Walter's three children and is comprised of approximately thirty employees. The office was relocated to Purcellville, Virginia approximately fifty miles west of the nation's capitol in the mid 1990's. In 1999 the company began providing propane gas service, in addition to home heating oil. The benefit of having over forty years of experience has enabled Valley Energy to develop a strong supply relationship with major energy companies. Additionally, the company is financially sound and is blessed with a loyal and professional staff.
