Established in 2008 Lakeview Leadership Academy is one of two middle schools in the Victor Valley Union High School District. We serve an ethnically diverse population of students in the High Desert of San Bernardino County. Our attractive campus houses middle grades facilities with state of the art classrooms, library, computer labs, multipurpose room, gymnasium and cafeteria. Lakeview is on the cutting edge with technology and offers 3 computer labs as well as chrome books for all students across the curriculum. LLA has exemplary teaching with high expectations for all students. Lakeview showed a 22 point API increase in 2013, which was the largest API increase in the high desert and second largest increase in SB County. Principal Lonnie Keeter and his staff of 30 certificated & 20 classified employees chose to implement "The Leader In Me" strategies school wide in 2014-15 and are currently moving toward Lighthouse accreditation where the school will become a Leadership model for other Middle Schools. "The Leader In Me" uses Stephen Covey's Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens which has a focus of believing that that all students can be productive citizens, because they believe in themselves. Our focus at LLA is to Educate, Equip, and Empower all students for Success. Our mission is "With the strength of Spartans, we are charging toward greatness by being safe, respectful and responsible citizens. Together we are becoming life-long learners.
