The Patient Care Technician on Level 7, Surgical assists with the provision of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Discharges duties in a responsible professional manner consistent with all standards of nursing care, hospital policies and procedures, and the current regulations governing nursing practice in the state. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, be enrolled in a Nursing Program with at least one-year clinical experience or have completed a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician program. CPR Certification is required.

Pharmacy Technician Trainee Weirton Medical Work Hours/Shift: All Shifts Pharmacy Technician Trainee Will Be Responsible For: • Transcribes physician's written orders. • Delivers requested medications to nursing stations and other hospital departments. • Replaces floor stock and prepares IV admixtures. • Maintains pharmacy workroom in clean and orderly condition. • Charges replacement vouchers and fills medication bags. Pharmacy Technician Trainee Qualifications What You Will Need: On-the-job training provided. Previous experience with pharmaceutical products and distribution preferred. Experience in computer input with menu driven programs preferred. High school graduate or GED equivalent with basic to intermediate computer skills including the ability to learn new systems. In addition, minimum of 500 hours is required to complete the training and then one year to successfully complete a national examination. Excellent Typing skills.

Must have a Patient Care Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant Certification or have a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience with on-the-job training. Nursing Students with clinical training will also be considered. CPR/BLS is required.

Medical Assistant performs general office duties including but not limited to scheduling, obtaining guarantor information; answer telephones, inputs patient charges. Medical Assistant prepares patient folders and files medical records. High school graduate or GED - Medical Assistant qualifications: Formal training as a medical assistant required or three years experience as a medical assistant. Previous physician office experience required. Must be a Certified Medical Assistant or obtain certification within 6 months. Experience with authorizations and EMR's preferred.

Greets patients and visitors in the Emergency Department and provides routine patient care in an efficient, safe and timely manner in accordance with established policies and procedures. The paramedic tech is directed by the nurse or physician to assure the highest degree of quality patient care. High school graduate or GED equivalent. Successful completion of Paramedic Training program. Paramedic Certification required. CPR certification. The capability of using good judgment in the care and transporting of all patients accordingly. CPI training. ACLS/PALS Certification. Pre-Hospital EMS experience.

Performs proper operational procedures for sterilization of instrumentation and reuseable med/surg supplies. Fills OR case carts and maintains OR supply inventory. Cleans, disinfects and maintains reuseable patient care equipment for the nursing unit. High school graduate or GED equivalent. Successful completion and current certification as Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required. Certification must be completed within twelve (12) months of competency. Additional training in proper use and operation of hospital sterilization equipment preferred. Three months to one year of Central Processing Technician experience using sterilization equipment and procedures for cleaning hospital instruments preferred
