Wholesome Tummies was founded in 2007 by two moms driven to see a change in the quality of the food we feed our families. Pregnant and working at the time, the two women were strapped for time to prepare healthy foods at every meal. With few convenient options for fresh, minimally processed foods, they decided to take matters into their own hands. They started by working with schools in their hometown of Orlando, Florida. The response was nothing short of incredible and the business quickly grew from serving 5 to 25 local schools. Then came requests from cities across the country, and in late 2009 the franchised healthy school concept WT Café was born. "...the business quickly grew from serving 5 to 25 local schools." Since then, the company has expanded nationally through franchising, an ideal growth model for this grass roots, healthy school concept.
