Servicios Integrales de Compras, Distribución, Comercialización de Mercancas y Administración de Importaciones. En 1982, a raz del control de cambios definido por el gobierno mexicano, surgió la necesidad de crear una oficina de compras internacionales para que el Grupo Peñoles pudiera adquirir bienes y servicios del extranjero, principalmente provenientes de los EUA y Canad. Esta oficina fue llamada PMC International originalmente, pero muy poco tiempo después cambio su nombre al de Wideco (U.S.), Inc. En esta primera fase, Wideco operó desde nuestras oficinas en Nueva York, pero en 1989 fué trasladada a la frontera con México en Brownsville, Texas para adicionarle a la importante labor de Compras la no menos valiosa del trmite de cruce de los materiales por frontera (forwarding) y su reexpedición hasta cada uno de los destinos que tenemos en cada Unidad y Proyectos del grupo Peñoles.
