Requirements and Responsibilities

Environmental Engineer III is responsible for providing engineering solutions to environmental issues. Conducts environmental experiments to identify, assess, and resolve problems concerning the environment. Being an Environmental Engineer III analyzes environmental data, reports, and trends and makes recommendations for corrective action. May also design, install, operate, and maintain measuring apparatus to determine the level of pollutants involving air, land, and water. Additionally, Environmental Engineer III ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local environmental legislation. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Environmental Engineer III work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. To be an Environmental Engineer III typically requires 4-7 years of related experience.
