Requirements and Responsibilities

Floor Assembler II assembles fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Floor Assembler II uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications. Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary. Additionally, Floor Assembler II may be required to complete an apprenticeship or on the job training. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Floor Assembler II gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. To be a Floor Assembler II typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
