Requirements and Responsibilities

Healthcare Sales/Marketing Manager directs sales and marketing activities for ancillary healthcare organizations, including assisted living locations, skilled nursing facilities, and home health/hospice agencies. Manages census to achieve occupancy and revenue goals. Being a Healthcare Sales/Marketing Manager develops marketing strategies and implements marketing campaigns that enhance the organization's brand and increase community awareness. Maintains relations with community organizations, hospitals, and other referral sources in order to generate admissions. Additionally, Healthcare Sales/Marketing Manager may require a bachelor's degree in related area. Typically reports to the head of a unit/department. The Healthcare Sales/Marketing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Healthcare Sales/Marketing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
