Senior Operations Manager directs and manages the day-to-day activities of an organization's operations, typically through subordinate operations managers. Implements company policies, procedures and initiatives. Being a Senior Operations Manager evaluates and enhances current operational systems. Monitors performance against operational goals and develops reporting and auditing processes used to analyze operational effectiveness. Additionally, Senior Operations Manager coordinates operations with other functions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Senior Operations Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Senior Operations Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
