The Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for pulmonary care as directed by the patients’ Primary Consulting Physician, appropriate to the ages and needs of the patient population served. He/she is accountable for the assignment, intervention, monitoring, and treating patients with pulmonary complications. He/she will assure that the equipment; supplies and services provided are appropriate to the age of the patient from neonate through geriatric. The Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner is accountable for the assessment, intervention, monitoring and treating of patients with pulmonary complications.
Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Incumbent must have current License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care with preferably with a minimum of one-year experience in Respiratory Care. Current Healthcare Provider CPR Certification required. Incumbent must be able to use the Hospital Information Systems and computerized microprocessor types of equipment.
