Distribution Clerk, Sr. performs a variety of clerical, customer service, and administrative duties to support operations of a distribution center. Monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels are available to fulfill all orders. Being a Distribution Clerk, Sr. ensures that all required paperwork, including labels, packing lists, and transport instructions, is prepared. Utilizes tracking systems to input or look up information. Additionally, Distribution Clerk, Sr. complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. What you will be doing:
Perform a wide variety of duties to maintain and control accurate levels of inventory in grocery and perishable warehouses. This includes the evaluation, research of complex inventory discrepancies, and entering of data information into warehouse systems. The role is also responsible for auditing of outbound cases to retail stores, technical support to receiving and shipping departments, and exchange of information as needed with customers in retail, merchandising, trucking, and distribution.
Execute and maintain processes for inventory department independently or without supervision
Able to perform complex research and analysis to identify, diagnosis, and resolve problems
Communicate and contact business partners and customers outside of the campus and address concerns in a positive manner
Perform quality control and auditing responsibilities
Perform perpetual cycle counts and all supplemental count requirements within established time frames
Monitor warehouse damage and initiate resolution
Notify appropriate department leads for product discrepancies
Utilize reports to assist campus in investigating and expediting issues related to inventory discrepancies and audit results
Perform daily warehouse responsibilities in areas related to shipping, receiving and/or inventory management within established time frames.
Understand Food Safety handling techniques, practices and expectations for the work environment.
Assign items select slots based on the strategy of achieving retail and distribution operational productivity while ensuring the safety of associates and product
Knowledge:
Knowledge of inventory practices, procedures and research techniques
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs

Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
Stand for long periods of time
Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)
Education:
High School education
Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable
