Engineering Director plans and directs all aspects of engineering activities and projects within an organization. Ensures all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives. Responsibilities:
The Director of Engineering is responsible for the performance of the Engineering Department staff; including room calls, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and grounds keeping. The DOE oversees and controls the vendors called to the property for major repairs; maintains all equipment to ensure they are performing at their maximum levels and capacities; controls payrolls, expenses and responds to guest needs at all levels. Works in unison with the hotel operations team, restaurant, banquets and salon to handle any day to day issues and create a team atmosphere involving equipment and guest satisfaction.
The DOE oversees the security systems and fire panels requirements needed to keep the property safe and secure; in addition to supporting the efforts of creating additional security procedures. Institutes a secure key control system for guest room and hotel staff needs.
While the hotel is under renovation, the DOE may be required to attend construction meetings and support the construction efforts with daily efforts.
