Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Manager manages the financial reporting staff May work with external auditors to provide requested information. May assist with the preparation of materials for board or shareholders. Additionally, Financial Reporting Manager requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Typically reports to a director. The Financial Reporting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Financial Reporting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. JOB SUMMARY The Lead Product Manager, Reporting uses advanced knowledge of product and service development practices to resolve a wide range of complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. They oversee the roadmap and development of multiple or large products and enhancements of diverse scope, size, impact, and budget within the Smarter Balanced Reporting suite, customized reporting tools for states. Demonstrates creativity and ingenuity in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to complex design, financial, marketing, or administrative problems. Builds requirements, prioritizes roadmap enhancements, creates long-term development plans (e.g., API), and facilitates the product development life cycle of aspects of the reporting product. The incumbent interfaces with membership to establish a deep understanding of member needs and layered user personas to drive customer satisfaction and achieve business impact. Manages product development work through matrixed staffing resources.
