• Monitor EHS performance, identify risks, areas of improvement, conduct and manage EHS audits and on-site inspections to identify EHS workplace hazards.
• Manage investigation of EHS incidents, prepare reports and recommendations, implement waste management programs, develop and drive EHS trainings, manage relationships with community of EHS stakeholders.
• Research, evaluate and recommend changes to improve EHS performance.
• Provide expertise and advice on EHS issues to area managers and plant managers.
• Eliminate the risk of occupational injury and illness, and environmental non-compliance in a manufacturing environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of EHS professionals.
• Implementation of EHS systems according to norms ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and OHSAS.
• Maintain relationships with the community, EHS groups, or other stakeholders impacted by the EHS performance of the organization.
• Coordinate compliance audits, inspections, including insurance inspections.
• Ensure all new equipment meets all legal and YF requirements.
• Manage the plant’s occupational health provider.
• Set the standard and cultivate the EHS culture in the plant.
