Purpose:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to Optimal Home Care clients as prescribed by the Physician, and under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Nursing activities are limited to those in compliance with the State LPN Practice Act, any applicable licensure/certification requirement(s) and agency policies and procedures.
Scope & Objective:
Applies nursing knowledge in planning, implementation, and evaluation of human response to actual or potential health problems. Communicates case findings and initiates health teachings, health counseling, and provision of care that supports life or restores well-being. Functions under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor.
