Materials Supervisor jobs in Idaho
The Materials Supervisor supervises transport of materials to and from departments and ensures material needs are met throughout the organization. Responsible for overseeing warehousing, shipping, receiving, and handling of materials. Being a Materials Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. A level II supervisor has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day-to-day operations of group. In addition, Materials Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Materials Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain good housekeeping practices on plant and equipment using water hoses and shovels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays.
- Repair crusher, i.e. liner changes, oil systems, and operations, monitor and change worn parts.
- Operating skid steers.
- Performing basic plant preventative maintenance.
- Cross train with other positions to maximize abilities within
Skills & Experience
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Valid drivers license is required.
- MSHA certification preferred.
- Previous quarry / mining experience preferred.
