Network Operations Manager jobs in Waltham, MA

The Network Manager is responsible for the oversight of CAR’s third party managed service providers for mainframe and LAN platforms and disaster recovery services to ensure that the Company’s IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable, providing direction to address issues and resolve tickets when necessary. This will include working with other members of the IT team on assignments of a complex nature that may impact business operations. The position requires considerable problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of servers for IIS, SQL Server, .NET Framework and FTP/FTPS.
• Work with third-party service contractors to create and maintain firewall objects and rules.
• Ensure secure remote connectivity configuration and management as well as software tools to support CAR’s work-from-home environment, overseeing third-party service providers for the installation and management of security components.
• Ensure internet connectivity, telephone system management, and office security systems.
• Acquire and install SSL GoDaddy Certificates for external-facing servers.
• Collaborate in the development of annual cybersecurity education curriculum for staff.
• Provide on-call support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4-8 years of related work experience.
• Experience with server, storage, and network device management.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
• Experience with cloud-based disaster recovery tools including Zerto, Veeam, MSA and Nimble
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking concepts and protocols.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to recent technologies and processes.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and general knowledge of IBM O/S operating systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $107,000.00 per year
